Wattana Montessori School opened in 2010 as a Montessori Kindergarten. The school has then gradually expanded. The primary program was introduced in the 2018 school year to follow the Cambridge curriculum and we are now known as Wattanakorn International School.
Wattanakorn International School continue to expand to cater to the growing needs of the students. We strive to provide the needs of our students academically, emotionally, physically and socially.
We aspire to have a true International School where students can excel, feel safe, happy and can progress by using their own abilities.
We work closely with parents to have a school where students can get qualifications which will enable them to succeed not just in the Lao PDR but also in the wider world.
We want a school where our children will remember, respect and honour their Lao tradition and culture.
To be a leading international school in Laos that inspires every learner to reach their fullest potential—intellectually, emotionally, and socially—by nurturing curiosity, creativity, and a strong sense of global citizenship.
Wattanakorn International School is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and enriching learning environment that blends international and local curricula.
At Wattanakorn International School, we believe that true learning goes beyond the classroom. Through our Helping Hand Project, students, teachers, and families come together to support under-resourced schools within our city—providing essential learning materials, organising outreach programs, and creating meaningful connections with fellow learners in need.
This initiative instills empathy, social responsibility, and a spirit of service in our students—
teaching them that growth is not only personal, but collective. At WIS, we don’t just build minds—we build hearts that care.
